This matte painting established an incredible view of an early Duffy Square or the northern triangle of Times Square. The matte created the illusion of two streets of a backlot that only had one street.

Alec Baldwin, as the hero, appears in the live-action area. This is a wonderfully executed painting in overall excellent condition. Please see note below regarding a crack in the glass portion of the artwork. The painted streetlight has an electric light and wiring intact (see photos of the back of the matte painting) but has not been tested to see if it still works.

This painting is on a 72" x 60" mixed medium panel of Masonite and glass in pine frame and is located in Los Angeles, California. The lower third portion of the painting is glass. The glass area is shown here with black velvet behind it to illustrate the area of rear-projection. The glass has a long hairline crack that was sustained during the Northridge Earthquake.

The crack probably can be reinforced from behind or repaired. This item is priced to account for the crack in the glass. Contact information can be provided. Thank you for you interest in this unique film and television memorabilia!
