HANNIBAL LECTER VINTAGE KENDO MASK FROM FAMOUS HANNIBAL TV SERIES FOR SALE. Unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to own this rare movie prop used in Bryan Fullers thrilling drama series Hannibal! Own a piece of iconic movie history to beautify your home! This vintage kendo mask was displayed in Dr. Hannibal Lecters office in the lavish series, captured more closely in Season 1 (as shown on photo). Its the original movie prop (comes with the well known Propstore Certificate of Authencity/ COA). Please note: Its not just a prop, rather a real vintage kendo (fencing) mask dated 1938.
The condition is usedwith significant signs of wear, dust, etc. Its a pretty fragile piece being so old. Please see all photos as part of description.
This antique prop symbolizes beginning of Hannibal legacy, his transformation and background connected to the Japanese culture. Dimentions: 16 x 11 x 11 inches (40.5 x 28 x 28 cm). The helmet is composed of 2 separate pieces: a padded metal cage with thin steel bars lined with fabric to protect the wearers head.
A leather hood covers the top and the sides of the head, closing at the back with an adjustable strap. The hood appears to have been fixed ti the cage when it was made in 1938, but has since been cut away.A patch of black tap is adhered to the back left corner of the hood and a company engraving reading Blackman leather goods 1938. The front strip of leather lining remains attached by a single thread. The piece shows significant wear and is covered with layers of collected dust. However, it remains in good, production used condition.
It can be mounted to the wall (as shown in series), or displayed on a stand. But is does come with Propstore COA and original signature. All best offers will be entertained. The item "RARE HANNIBAL DR.
